(1853 – 1928) Martin Jerome Keogh, New York State Supreme Court Justice, was born on 11 September 1853 in New Ross, Wexford, Ireland.
He emmigrated to America in 1871.
He married as his first wife Mary Church Whiting before 1885. Martin Jerome Keogh married as his second wife Katherine Temple Emmet on 29 May 1894. Martin Jerome Keogh died in 1928.
The Thornton-Donovan School (TD) was founded in 1901, as the New Rochelle School and Kindergarten in New Rochelle, New York. It is believed the school was founded by Judge Martin Jerome Keogh .
He and Katherine Temple Emmet appeared on the 1900 Federal census of New Rochelle, Westchester County, New York, at Ward 2, enumerated 1 June 1900. Their son Grenville Temple was listed as living with them. Three other children and her father Richard were also in the household.
He is buried at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle, Westchester County, New York.
