At the Local Launch of JFK50, which was held in New Ross on Saturday 24th November, the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Brendan Howlin T.D, Minister of State, Paul Kehoe, T.D, and Cllr Michael Sheehan, JFK50 Committee Chairman, accepted an invitation from An Cathaoirleach, Cllr Paul Crowdle to “post” the first Homecoming Postcard.
The Homecoming Postcard is a New Ross Town Council initiative and over the coming weeks it is intended to provide Postcards to all households in New Ross. These Postcards will then be forwarded by the members of the household to a loved one somewhere in the world.
The Homecoming Postcard is an invitation from An Cathaoirleach, Cllr Paul Crowdle, to return and visit New Ross in 2013.
The Postcard message reads;
Why not come home and visit Ross during 2013 and join in the Homecoming Celebrations and be part of the 50th Anniversary of the visit to Ross of President JF Kennedy.
Kind Regards,
An Cathaoirleach Cllr Paul Crowdle.
